Welcome to Bloom Aerial
Bloom Aerial is run by Emma Rose Bloomfield, an aerialist and circus performer with 20 years experience. We are a community of aerial enthusiasts who love to fly high and push the limits of what we can do in the air. Our classes are friendly and welcoming, and we cater to all skill levels, from complete beginners to seasoned professionals. Alongside this, Emma Rose also performs and is happiest when creating theatre-based aerial commissions. Join us and experience the thrill of aerial arts!
Meet Emma
Emma is a highly skilled and experienced aerialist who is passionate about what she does. She champions the working class background she comes from and believes everyone can participate in aerial no matter who you are or where you come from.

"When creating my own work my main inspiration comes from my beloved North East, and the strong women who have raised me. I enjoy telling stories about our region through my aerial choreography, and both celebrating and raising important issues around being a woman."
Emma has worked on some incredible projects, and with some fantastic companies during her 20 years of performing including:
Commission from Sunderland Culture for The Tall Ships Sunderland. This commission saw Emma be nominated and shortlisted for The North East Culture Awards 2019 for Performing Artist of the Year

Emma is a graduate of The Academy of Circus Arts 2009, Gravity Circus Centre's 3 month professional programme 2018, and The Aerial Movement Masterclass 2019.
She currently expands her skillset and ever growing knowledge by taking online classes with the amazing PJ Perry and Alex Allen
